Key responsibilIties

  • Responsible for the overall management of onboard photo systems, and workflows and related hardware, while maintaining standards and consistency throughout the fleet.
  • Administer setup and maintenance of Photo Network and establish firewall rules for Photo team access and enable routing to WAN for Windows activation and updates.
  • Deploy and maintain essential software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Centrics applications.
  • Manage static IP addresses, DNS, and Gateways for devices connected to Photo Network.
  • Oversee proper installation and configuration of software applications on various lab computers.
  • Guide the setup of Guest Tablets with detailed step-by-step instructions. Facilitate the installation of necessary applications, user accounts, and network configurations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to photography teams, assisting them in troubleshooting equipment and system issues.
  • Ensure that all photo equipment and systems adhere to safety regulations and industry standards. 
  • Conducts general photo department shipboard audits as requested by shoreside Management.
  • Oversee configuration and maintenance of Photo Servers around the fleet and manage installation and configuration of Centrics client applications on kiosks and tablets.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Training Manager to incorporate technical training into the photography training programs.
  • Works to ensure all ships’ Photo related systems remain up and running at all times in order to maintain business continuity and ensure the ships teams achieve their assigned forecasted revenues.
  • Identifies potential missed revenue opportunities and offers suggestions to improve operations to exceed performances.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT or similar technical role, preferably within a cruise-line environment.
    • Experience in onboard photo operations and associated software and workflows.
    • Proficiency in server management, particularly Windows Server 2022R2.
    • Experience in network configuration, VLAN setup, and firewall administration.
    • Familiarity with SCCM for software distribution.
    • Strong knowledge of software applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, Centrics, Microsoft Office and HTML experience.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage hardware configurations and setup procedures.
    • Ability to travel throughout the fleet, internationally, on a full-time basis.
    • Strong project management skills, including ability to lead and direct multiple ships and teams. 
    • Creative thinker with outstanding problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Outgoing personality with great communication and training skills.
    • Ability to recognize non-compliance issues with employees and management at all levels throughout the fleet, providing guidance and take corrective action on such instances.
    • Organized & responsible, always projects a professional image.
